Market Hall The indoor market operates on two floors, is linked to the open market and has escalators, lifts and walkways. The lower floor of the market hall is dedicated to food and comprises of 75 stalls and shops selling fresh fruit and vegetables (much of which is produced locally), meat, fish, health foods, sweets, cooked meats, bread and confectionery and traditional Lancashire foods such as black puddings and tripe. We even have a stall specialising in more exotic fruit, vegetables and spices and an excellent Polish delicatessen, plus much, much more. The upper floor of the indoor market is dedicated to non-food items with the exception of a first class café situated overlooking the Open market. There are 60 stalls selling an amazing variety of goods and services including haberdashery, childrenswear, jewellery, material, handbags, luggage, sportswear, home brew kits, household goods, coats, hair fashion accessories, cosmetics, cards, underwear and nightwear and much, much more. Opening days and times: Monday to Saturday 8.00am until 5.30pm (core trading hours: 9.00 until 5.00) Open Market 4 days a week the splendid Victorian canopy next to the Market Hall comes to life with a traditional open market. Over 140 stalls can be accommodated in this central location right in the heart of Preston Town Centre. The Market is full of character, colour and charm but perhaps of more importance, excellent goods, quality service, bargains and more. Each stall is designed to entice the shoppers and the browsers, or simply those walking through the town.
